Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2, 2026
TL;DR — Analytics are cookieless and fully anonymous. A security service (Bunny Shield) places strictly necessary cookies to protect against bots — no consent required. The CDN logs limited access data (with IP addresses partially anonymised) for up to 3 days for security purposes. Photos of athletes are published with consent obtained through their sports club. If you appear in a photo and want it removed, email info (at) athleticpixels (dot) be.
1. Who We Are
This website, www.athleticpixels.be, is operated by a private individual based in Belgium. For questions or requests relating to this privacy policy, you can contact:
Email: info (at) athleticpixels (dot) be
2. Scope of This Policy
This privacy policy explains what data is collected when you visit this website, how it is used, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Belgian law. This site has no contact forms, newsletter subscriptions, user accounts, social media embeds, or payment gateways.
3. What Data Is Collected
3.1 Visitor Analytics — Simple Analytics
This website uses Simple Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service. Simple Analytics does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not process IP addresses in an identifiable way. The data collected is fully anonymised and aggregated (e.g. page views, referring website, browser type). No consent is required under the GDPR for this processing.
Simple Analytics is operated by Simple Analytics BV, the Netherlands. For more information, see simpleanalytics.com/privacy.
3.2 Security Cookies — Bunny Shield
This website is protected by Bunny Shield, a security service provided by Bunny.net (BunnyWay d.o.o., Slovenia). To protect against bots and automated threats, Bunny Shield may place the following strictly necessary first-party cookies on your device:
| Cookie | Purpose |
|---|---|
bunny_shield | Temporary indicator that a JavaScript Proof-of-Work challenge has been completed. |
bunny_shield_chk | A checksum/validation token to prevent tampering with the above cookie. |
bunny_shield_id | A persistent session identifier used for bot detection and distinguishing legitimate users from malicious actors. |
bunny_shield_bd | A non-invasive browser fingerprint (rendering behaviour, device attributes, feature support) used to detect automation and spoofed clients. |
These cookies do not contain personally identifiable information and are used exclusively for security purposes. They are considered strictly necessary and do not require consent under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive.
For further details, see docs.bunny.net/shield/cookies.
3.3 Infrastructure — Bunny.net CDN & Storage
Website files are stored on Bunny Storage (Frankfurt, Germany) and served via Bunny CDN with EU-only routing. All data stays within the European Economic Area. DNS is managed by Bunny.net with DNSSEC active.
The CDN pull zone retains limited access logs for up to 3 days for security and operational purposes. These logs may include requested URLs, timestamps, browser type, HTTP status codes, and partially anonymised IP addresses (the last octet is removed, e.g. 192.168.1.xxx). Logs are automatically deleted after 3 days and are not shared with third parties.
3.4 Email Communication
If you contact us via info (at) athleticpixels (dot) be, the information you provide (name, email address, message content) will be stored and used solely to respond to your enquiry. Email is hosted by Migadu (Switzerland). We do not store email correspondence beyond what is operationally necessary.
3.5 Photographs of People
This website publishes sports photographs that may depict identifiable individuals, including minors. Photographs are taken on behalf of sports clubs and organisations, which have obtained the necessary consent from athletes (and, for minors, from their parents or legal guardians) as part of their membership or participation arrangements.
If you are depicted in a photograph on this website and wish to have it removed, or if you are the parent/guardian of a minor depicted, you can withdraw consent at any time by sending an email to info (at) athleticpixels (dot) be. We will process your request without undue delay.
